I am currently a doctoral student in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. My research centres around developing an understanding of Northern International Non-governmental Organisations’ moral legitimacy and applied ethics. I hold a 1st class honours BSc in Health Promotion from Dalhousie University, MSc in Global Health from McMaster University, and a Graduate Diploma from the United Nations University – Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH) Water without Borders Program. You might also like to know that I am Canadian, female, born in 1989, and an avid traveller currently living in the UK.

This blog website will give you insight into my thoughts and experiences being a doctoral student, political thinker, and human being simply living life. I am starting this blog with the intent of strengthening my writing and social media skills, and to track the evolution of my personal development over time. Really this is a diary that I am willing to share with others.

It should be noted and respected that my personal development is fluid. Thus, the words written within this blogging website reflect my thinking at the time of writing, which, as I can only hope, will flourish over time.
